POD is a autonomous vehicle which provides flexible all hours parcel delivery in urban areas with demand created by online shopping.  POD could be deployed by itself from a distribution centre or from a van carrying multiple PODs.

Autonomous parcel delivery hopes to enable faster local delivery and more certain delivery times. Current autonomous delivery vehicles have draw backs:

 Aerial Drones: Cannot carry heavier parcels and are bound by air travel restrictions.

 Ground based droids: Must navigate urban environment to destination, taking longer.

POD seeks to address the primary drawback of ground vehicles: restricted travel. Existing Ground vehicles cannot travel up steps and are bound to ramps and flat surfaces. Enabling robots to climb up steps enables much more pathways and opportunities for autonomous urban robots.
